Journey

Born in 2007, Amber Chow is an energetic Canadian pianist, composer, and teacher. She is passionate about visual arts, filmography, dramatic arts, singing, and aspires to become a neurobiologist. Currently, Amber is a senior student in the Phil and Eli Taylor Academy in the studio of Dr. Michael Berkovsky, and a composition student of David Stone, where she enjoys playing and performing chamber music with other musicians.

Amber started the study of music at 5, and was 2nd prize winner in the national 2017 Canadian Music Competition. Since then she has been awarded trophies and scholarships at local, provincial, and national events such as Toronto Kiwanis, CCC Toronto International competition, North York Music Festival, American Protege competition and Crescendo music competition. As an active ensemble player, Amber also had master classes appearances and performances in Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal. Recently, Amber premiered her first string quartet in Vancouver named “When the Rain Starts Falling”.
